About Us

Link Dyrdahl, President

Link formed Wugaboo LLC to develop products that encourage children to exercise their imaginations. The concept for the Hugawugs, the company’s first product line for preschoolers, grew from Link’s extensive experience in the book and software industries. The Hugawugs launched November 2007 with four plush characters and two books. In 2008, Wugaboo LLC will release four new plush toys and two additional books from the Hugawugs series.

In addition to his work as founder of Wugaboo LLC, Link is the co-Founder and President of Big Box Entertainment. Big Box is a sales and distribution company with a primary focus on the publishing industry. Big Box works with international and domestic publishers to help design their products for and maximize sales to warehouse clubs. In 2006, Big Box was sold to a Belgian publisher. Link continues to manage the company.

Previously, Link worked at Topics Entertainment, a leading software and audio publisher with national distribution to major retailers, where he created the Excelerator children’s software series and two other profitable software lines. Prior to that, Link worked as Director of Operations for Edmark, an award winning children’s educational software company. At Edmark, Link oversaw the procurement, production and distribution of the Edmark, World Book, Crayola, and Via Voice product lines for the IBM subsidiary with combined annual sales exceeding $60 million.
